Class rules and fees:
Mandatory for all racers:
·Chassis protection is required, along with pit mats on HRCR provide pit tables.
·NO tire sauce of any kind.
·ONLY Simple green is allowed for cleaning tires. No other chemicals on tires.
General:
· HRCR is not responsible for loss of personal items.
·
Help us keep our facility clean, pack in and pack out garbage & personal items. We have onsite garbage cans please use
them!
·
All participants must pay for practice and racing prior to placing your vehicles on the track.
·
All cars must be cleaned before using carpet track. HRCR will inspect any cars at our discretion.
·
Waivers must be signed prior to using the facility.
·
No 1/10 scale Monster trucks or anything 1/8 scale on the carpet.
·
All minors must have their legal guardian present at sign in.
·
Chassis protectors required, all screws on the bottom of the chassis MUST be covered by a chassis protector. If you must turn over the car to access the screw, it must be covered.
·
All wings must have rounded ends, no sharp 90-degree ends
·
Personal Transponders required for racing (available in the Pro-Shop)
·
Random Tech inspections at HRCR discretion.
·
Do not walk on the track unless you are marshalling, fixing the track, taking pictures with approval, or retrieving a car.
When you do walk on the track, wipe your feet first.
·
Any driver found guilty of placing fellow racers, turn marshals, mechanics, or spectators in harm’s way will be asked to
leave immediately and you will also forfeit any fees paid.
·
If you are not racing or practicing, please do not enter the driver’s stand.
·
Zero Tolerance Policy – No yelling, fighting, threatening, whining, arguing, trash talking, or sabotaging other drivers.
·
No foul language. Children do not like to hear it! (And most of their parents!) Please keep it PG.
·
Smoking is only allowed in our designated outdoor area (north end of the building).
Batteries:
6 or 7 cell NiMh
2 cell LiPo hardcase only.
Max charge rate 15A in the building – this is for safety reasons
LiPo charge and storage bags highly recommended

Open Practice is available any time we are open and not racing.
$20 for the day. Per driver.
HRCR on track practice membership.
Monthly Individual Practice membership $100 per month per driver or Immediate Family Membership $175.
*Immediate Family residing in the same household, membership limited to parent and child or spouses up to 4 people total, (not your uncles, brothers, sisters' cousin.)

YOU ARE REQUIRED TO MARSHAL AFTER YOU RACE.
After your race, put your car on the “Impound shelves” and go back out to marshal. If you cannot marshal due to physical/health issues it is your responsibility to find someone to take your place marshalling. You can be docked a lap for not marshalling.
·Do not leave your marshalling station until the race is over
·Do not work on cars while marshalling
·Do not play on your phone when you are supposed to be marshalling
·Do not sit in a chair while marshalling, buckets are ok.
·No children under the age of 8 are allowed to take turns marshalling.
·Please wear shoes that allow you to run. No flip flops, sandals, or open-toed shoes are allowed when turn marshalling.
·Do not drive against the flow of traffic or use reverse at any time during the race day.
·Do not continue to drive a broken car. This can cut the carpet. Your car will be black flagged.
·HRCR and its Race Directors are in charge and have a final say in any decision made.
·Be courteous to other drivers and their vehicles. Do not crash into other people on purpose. You can be disqualified for
intentionally wrecking other drivers.
·Do not yell or make comments to the marshals before, during or after a race.
·Do not come off the drivers stand during a race for any reason. It distracts the other drivers and can block their vision.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
·Lapped traffic needs to try to move over for the leaders. There is no reason a driver 2 or 3 laps down should be interfering
and taking out or slowing down the leaders.
Personal transponders required for all classes. (See Above – available at Pro-Shop)
Classes and class rules:
Novice
The Novice division is for new racers who wish to learn basic skill sets and track/race program etiquette. This is a steppingstone to the below listed classes and we will bump drivers up as they progress. The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Any off-road 1/10th or smaller 2-wheel/4-wheel drive chassis (2wd is recommended but we will accommodate anyone the best we can).
·
• Motor: Any brushed or brushless motor. Generally, this class will be stock RTR motors and limited power.
·
• Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: must have carpet safe tires (see Pro-Shop for tire approval)
·
• Bodies: Anybody intended for the class of vehicle driven.
·
• Minimum Weight: none
·
• This class is intended for True Novice and Beginners only.
·
• You can only compete in a novice class.
·
• Any 1/10 scale or smaller RTR or kit buggy, stadium truck or short course.
·
• Any tires safe for the carpet are allowed.
·
• 4x4 is not recommended.
·
• Power restrictions may be enforced. Any questions on where your vehicle fits or is allowed, please see Bryce in the
HRCR Pro-Shop. We will inspect all novice cars before running.
Open 2wd Buggy
The Modified Buggy division is for advanced/expert racers who wish to run modified motors and is one of the fastest and most demanding divisions at the track. The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Any off-road 2-wheel drive buggy style chassis.
·
• Motor: Any brushless motor. Generally, this class will be 13.5T motors and lower.
·
• Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: any carpet tire 2.2” or 2.4” /60mm wheels
·
• Bodies: Any 2WD buggy body intended for the class.
·
• Minimum Weight: 1474 grams.
17.5 2wd Buggy
The 17.5 Buggy division is for intermediate and advanced racers who wish to run 2wd buggies with 17.5 motors and is often the largest divisions at the track. The rules for this division are:
· • Chassis: Any 1/10th off-road 2-wheel drive buggy style chassis.
·
• Motor: 17.5 brushless motor.
·
• ESC (Electronic Speed Control): Non-Timing ESC’s, “Blinky” only
·
• Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: any carpet tire, 2.2” or 2.4” / 60mm wheels
·
• Bodies: Any 2WD buggy body intended for the class.
·
• Minimum Weight: 1474 grams
Open 4WD Buggy

13.5 4WD Buggy
The 13.5 4WD Buggy division is for intermediate racers who wish to run 4-wheel drive buggies with 13.5 motors for the most challenging and fastest divisions of racing at the track. The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Any 1/10th off-road 4-wheel drive buggy style chassis.
·
• Motor: 13.5 turn brushless motor.
·
• ESC (Electronic Speed Control): Non-Timing ESC’s, “Blinky” only
·
• Tires: any carpet tire, 2.2” or 2.4” / 60mm wheels
·
• Bodies: Any 4WD buggy body intended for the class.
·
• Minimum Weight: 1588 grams.
13.5 2wd Stadium Truck
The 13.5 Stadium Truck division is for advanced/expert racers who wish to be able to run 2wd stadium trucks with 13.5 motors. The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Any off-road 1/10 2-wheel drive stadium truck chassis (no short course truck chassis).
·
• Motor: Any brushless motor. this class will be 13.5T
·
• Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: any carpet tire, 2.2” wheels, no 2.8” wheels
·
• Bodies: Any 2WD truck body intended for the class.
·
• Minimum Weight: 1700 grams.
Open 2wd Short Course Truck
The Pro 2 Short Course Truck division class is a great class for advanced/expert racers wishing to compete with 2wd short course trucks and modified motors and offers very realistic looking vehicles.
The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Any off-road 2-wheel drive Short Course Truck style chassis. • Motor: Any brushless motor. Generally, this class will be 10.5T motors and lower.
·
• Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: any carpet tire. 1/8 Buggy tires are NOT allowed!
·
• Bodies: Any short course truck style body.
·
• Minimum Weight: 2098 grams. Open 4wd mini
Truggy
The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Any off-road 1/10 4wd Truck style chassis.
·
• Motor: Any 540/standard 1/10th brushless motor. Generally, this class will be 10.5T motors and lower.
·
• Batteries: 6-cell NiMH batteries, or 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: Hot bananas foam spec tire. 1/8 Buggy tires are NOT allowed!
·
• Bodies: Any truck style body.
·
• Minimum Weight: TBD
Spec 1/16 Mini-b
The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Losi RTR mini-b in stock configuration
·
• Motor: stock p/n DYNS1218- brushed no modifications
·
• Esc: may be changed for any micro brushed esc to utilize aftermarket radios, no 1/10th ESCs.
·
• Batteries: 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: stock kit tires • Bodies: Any 1/16 mini-b body.
·
• Minimum Weight: TBD
Open Mini-b
(will mix with trucks until class grows)
The rules for this class are:
· • Chassis: Losi RTR mini-b or pro-roller in stock or modified configuration
·
• Motor: any micro
·
• Batteries: 2-cell hard case Li-Poly batteries
·
• Tires: 1/16 mini tires
·
• Bodies: Any 1/16 mini-b or t body.
·
• Minimum Weight: none
